For instance, Maria is a Libra with a numerology reading of 5. She thrives on variety and gets bored with diets and exercise routines that are always the same. Therefore, her workouts are different every day of the week and include elements of yoga, dance, and martial arts as well as walking and kettlebell lifts.
Elsa is a Capricorn with a life number of 4. She needs to see measurable improvement in order to feel motivated, so we designed for her a program that gives her multiple opportunities to measure her progress. In addition to tracking her weight loss and body measurements, we set up a number of physical goals that are easily achievable and that build on each other. Elsa can mark off each small step and accomplishment, which gives her positive feedback every day. She was unhappy with the flab under her arms, but didn't have the upper body strength to really tackle reshaping them--the workouts prescribed by her gym coach were making her back, shoulders and neck stiff and she was uncomfortable at work. So we scaled her back and gave her a gentle upper body workout that she could tackle at home and work--100 table pushups a day, to be performed in sets of 10 to 20 throughout the day. Before long she was doing sets of 50 at a time, and pumping out 5 to 8 full pushups once a week. We also gave her some yoga poses to work on that target the arms, like the crane pose and chataranga, with instructions to track her pose time in both seconds and breath count. With multiple opportunities to track her progress, her workout charts are filled with positive notes and small but measurable improvements, which keeps her feeling satisfied, motivated, and loyal to her workout.
Dan is a Cancer with a life number of 4/2/6. Lots of issues with food--loving the pasta and carbs, particulary--he had nervous stomach issues and found comfort in big helpings of warm carbohydrates. He also loves the comfort of a routine, but has trouble committing to a regimen long enough for it to become a comfortable and positive part of his day. He hadn't really gained much weight, but he had gained two belt sizes and was feeling stiff and creaky. We felt that with his already dense, muscular build he wasn't getting enough protein; his body was converting muscle into energy and he was actually gaining fat while losing muscle. So without taking his comforting potatoes and pasta away, we did ask him to cut back portion size, and we gave him a recommended list of protein-dense foods that he should eat first at every meal. We also recommended he set up a home gym, which is an expensive option to be sure but since his natal chart and life number indicate that he is somewhat shy and withdrawn, we felt he would enjoy his workouts more if he could workout privately and be able to control his environment more. He is now fully devoted to his daily workout, which includes some aerobic time on his Treadclimber, some flexing on his Bowflex, free weights, and some floor stretching. His home gym has an excellent view of the outdoors, and he gets to watch television (his choice of channels, naturally) and relax after a stressful workday.
